______________________________________________WIRING TOOL (GUNS) - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
_______
1.
General R This topic gives the description and the procedure for wiring tools. R Wiring tools used to attach the wire have the reference below : R - GS2B, R - GS4H, R - MARK III (or MK3), R - P46, R - WT193.
R __________
2.
Definition R The wiring operation must attach the cables together to form the bundles in R relation to the requirements and rules of the routing. R This type of tool is used to install the tie wraps NSA935401. R (Refer to chapter on tie wraps 20-33-41). R

B. Procedure (Ref. Fig. 003)
R R R R R R _______CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT YOU SET THE CORRECT TENSION ON THE GUN. IF THE TENSION IS TOO HIGH, DAMAGE WILL OCCUR TO THE TIE WRAP (THE HEAD WILL BREAK OR THERE WILL BE STRETCHING OF THE STRAP) AND TO THE WIRE INSULATION. IF THE TENSION IS NOT SUFFICIENT, THE TIE WRAP WILL NOT BE SUFFICIENTLY TIGHT.
R R _______CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE DIMENSION CODE OF THE TIE WRAP IS SATISFACTORY FOR THE DIAMETER OF THE BUNDLE.
R - Put tie wrap around the bundle with section of locking head outside. - Engage the free end of tie wrap into locking head and pull tightly with hand. - Use the applicable tool and adjustment. - Put gun nose near tie wrap locking head and engage free end of tie into it. - Pull trigger. Tie wraps are tightened and when you get the necessary tension, the tie is automatically cut and tie end is ejected.
____NOTE : Set the wiring tool to minimum tension, to attach coaxial cable on a bundle (Tie wrap put in position as an eight to apply the pressure equally).
