(2)
Install the correct crimping head in the power unit and screw the collar tight.
(3)
Cycle the tool twice, tightening the collar after each cycle to insure that the head is in the proper position for crimping.
(4)
Place stripped wire into a contact and insert into the locator.
(5)
Depress either the foot or hand valve to crimp. The tool
automatically makes a full cycle crimp.

R _________________________________4. AMP Pneumatic Hand Tool P/N 69365
R R A. Designation (Ref. Fig. 003) This tool has interchangeable dies or jaws and uses a compressed air source (6 or 7 bars). An attachment system enables use at a fixed station, using a foot switch. In this case, the hand valve is inoperative.
B. Example of Crimping
(1) With tool equipped with proper die set for the terminal and wire size being used, proceed as follows :
(a) Insert stripped wire in terminal.
(b) Slightly lower locator.
(c) Position terminal against fixed die.
(d) Apply pressure so that moving die advances to complete the crimp. At end of crimping operation, the die automatically returns to the open position. Remove the crimped assembly.

R B. Example of crimping
R (1) With tool in full operating condition, insert contact and wire.
R (2) Depress foot valve and hold momentarily while tool crimps.
R (3) Release to complete tool cycle.

A. Preparation of Tool
(1)
Place foot pump in a vertical position with dipstick nut uppermost.
(2)
Remove dipstick.
(3)
Check that oil level corresponds with notch on dipstick, top up oil level if necessary.
(4)
Install dipstick and place tool in horizontal position.
B. Example of Crimping
____
NOTE : : Always use tool in horizontal position.
(1)
Remove cap from crimping head adapter.
(2)
Slowly pump foot pedal until oil appears at end of hose.
(3)
Connect crimping head to hose adapter
(Ref. Fig. 002)
(4)
Install dies in crimping head.
(5)
