_______1. General
R
This chapter gives the main backshell, end piece and conduit fitting
description and installation used on aircraft:
R - Backshell for circular connector,
R - Backshell for rectangular connector,
R - Backshell for convoluted conduit with circular connector,
R - Backshell for screened conduit with circular connector,
R - End piece and conduit fitting at conduit end.

P/N characteristics
(a) Temperature Minimum operating temperature is -55 deg.C (-67.00 deg.F) Maximum operating temperature is 175 deg.C (347.00 deg.F)

Installation procedure
-Install the backshell on the wires before you connect them to the connector.
-Screw the backshell on the connector.
-Tighten the backshell with pliers UTICA 529 or equivalent.

NOTE : To make the tightening of the backshell easer you can use a tightening support SOURIAU 580030 or equivalent.
-If necessary, safety the connector (ref 20-51-12).
-On metal backshell install a protective pad E0080-CP1 or NSA935404 between the backshell and the bundle.
-Attach the bundle to the backshell with a cable tie NSA935401.
