Motor voltage is 110 volts (P/N 69120-1) or 220 volts (P/N 69120-2).
B. Example of Crimping
(Ref. Fig. 003)
Always keep unit in upright position.
Never operate unit without its crimping head.
(1)
Remove protective caps.
(2)
Attach crimping head to handle control or to coupling adapter if foot switch is used.
(3)
Place dies in crimping head.
(4)
Using the hand control to advance the ram, press and release reset button then press trigger or, using the foot control, press and release reset pedal (LH) and then press ram advance (RH) pedal.
(5)
Locate terminal or splice in dies and advance ram sufficiently to hold terminal or splice in the dies, by operating with short strokes trigger or pedal. The ram will not return to neutral until the crimping cycle is completed unless pressure release button on electrical control box is pressed.
(6)
Insert stripped wire into terminal or splice.

(7)
Squeeze and hold on trigger or ram advance pedal until crimping cycle is complete and ram returns to neutral.
(8)
Remove crimped terminal or splice.

R RISKS OF EXPLOSION (FUEL TANKS, FUEL VAPOUR AREAS, ETC.). REFER TO
R YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY THEM. SOME
R ELECTRIC TOOLS SUCH AS HEAT GUNS, SOLDERING IRONS AND TOOLS

The chapters that follow give the operation of the tools used to shrink
sleeves, end caps or solder sleeves used in aircraft.

______________________________________________HOT AIR GENERATORS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
R R R R R R R R R _______1. General The hot air generators have the following P/Ns: - Type CV1981 - Type 500 - Type 1500 - Type HL/HG STEINEL - Reflectors (PR12, PR13, PR21, PR23,...) The tool must obey the related operating and safety instructions and be applicable for its related use. Thus, you can only use equipment on which the hot air temperature is the same as the shrinking temperature of the shrinkable sleeve or moulding. A continuously adjustable hot air temperature is recommended. The equipement must also have a contact protection at the hot air opening to prevent injuries and the risk of fire.
R R R R R ____NOTE : In order to protect maintenance personnel from electrical shocks, Airbus strongly recommend the use of tools with power supply lower than 50V as requested by the french law. If such tools are not available, it is stongly recommended to use insulation transformers to supply the high voltage tools.
