_________________________3. Installation Requirements

A. Drain Hole
R A drain hole protects the electrical bundle from liquid accumulated in
R the conduit .
R Drain holes must be provided in all convoluted conduits (e.g. E0432,
R NSA935805, NSA935806) with low points, except for:
R - Conduits located on sealed harnesses
R - Conduits located in a pressurized compartment
R - Moving conduits which allow moisture to drain
R - Small conduits, size code 02, 03 and 04
R - Small conduits used inside overbraided bundles
R (Refer to 20-25-52 wire protection tool chapter for drain hole detailed
R process)
R (1) For shielded conduits
R For shielded conduits which are made of convoluted conduit, the drain
R hole his made during manufacture with a specific tool before delivery
R and installation.
R Drain holes or drain hole zones are identified on either side by
R yellow sleeves.
R (2) For non-shielded conduits
R Drain holes will be made after installation of the conduit at the
R lower point.
R
____NOTE : In addition, drain loops (drop of water) are provided to
prevent fluid contamination of the connectors (in lavatories,
galleys, by leaks from water or hydraulic systems,etc...) Same
rule for protected or unprotected bundles.

B. Attachment on the Structure
- Attachment on the structure is made by means of "P" clamps NSA935807.
- Near the connection with mobile equipment, the last structural
attachment point will be a "P" clamp NSA935807 or a bobbin NSA935809
installed with a clamp MS21103.

C. Connection Attachment at the rear of the connector, on the backshell, is made directly or undirectly:

Type 1 attachment (directly) (Ref. Fig. 002) It is made by means of cable tie NSA935401. Take care that the cable tie, when tightened, does not excessively crush the conduit.

For a conduit exterior diameter of less than 10 mm (0.3937 in.) or size code 6.

For sealed harnesses.

Type 2 attachment (undirectly)
(Ref. Fig. 002)
It is made by means of the following end pieces:
E0074 and E0109, straight.
E0115, right angle.
