__________________________________________SHRINK SLEEVES - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
_______1. General
R This chapter gives the description and the primary characteristics of heat
R shrink sleeves.
R The primary function of these sleeves is to:
R - Give protection to the terminal (Ref. 20-48-1X),
R - Give protection to the connector cavities at the rear of the contact (Ref.
R 20-48-2X),
R - Repair the wires in some cases (Ref. 20-53-2X),
R - Give protection to the harnesses and electrical bundles.
R The description and procedures for the installation of heat shrink sleeves
R used to give protection to wire bundles are given (Ref. 20-33-34).
R Shrink sleeves installed on aircraft have the codes that follow:
- Low temperature shrink sleeves:
