C. Procedures
(1) Drain holes
(Ref. Fig. 003)
R ____NOTE : You can only make drain holes before installation of the
R conduit on the bundle and before installation of the end
R assembly.
- Only for conduit with halar sheath (step 1):
R Use a soldering iron to cut a 20 mm (0.7874 in.) long window in the
R E-CTFE braid.
R The window width must not exceed 30% of the protective conduit
R circumference.
R - Insert a plastic rod in the conduit until it is behind the hole
R position.
R In the necessary hole position, use a blunt needle to slide the
R braid aside with circular movements (step 2).
R - Make sure that you strike a "crest" of the convoluted hose below.
R - Punch a hole in the convoluted hose with punch pliers or equivalent
