B. Installation of the Vibration Isolator CAUTION : WHEN YOU REMOVE (INSTALL) THE APU, DISENGAGE (ENGAGE) ALL THE
_______ VIBRATION ISOLATORS AT THE SAME TIME FROM THE APU MOUNT BRACKETS. IF YOU DISENGAGE (ENGAGE) THEM ONE AFTER THE OTHER, THE LOADS WILL NOT BE EQUAL. THIS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TIE RODS.
(1)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to all mating surfaces. Do not apply it to the bonding straps.
(2)
Install the vibration isolator (16) on the APU mount-bracket (14).
(3)
If removed install the tie-rods (4) and (6).
(a) Install the bolts (18), the washers (19) and the castle nuts (20).

TORQUE the castle nuts (20) to between 0.55 and 0.75 m.daN (48.67 and 66.37 lbf.in) and safety them with the new cotter pin (21)
(c)
Connect the bonding straps (10).
(d)
Install the bolts (7), the washers (8) and the nuts (9).
(e)
TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 0.22 and 0.26 m.daN (19.46 and
23.00 lbf.in)
(4)
Install the tie-rods (4) and (6) at the vibration isolator.
(5)
Install the bolts (5) and (17), the washers (1) and (12) and the castle nuts (2) and (13).
(6)
TORQUE the castle nuts

item (2) to between 0.3 and 0.35 m.daN (26.54 and 30.97 lbf.in),
-
item (13) to between 0.55 and 0.75 m.daN (48.67 and 66.37 lbf.in) and safety them with the new cotter pin (3) and cotter pin (11).
(7)
Remove the PROTECTOR - THREADS, APU MOUNTING BOLTS and install the nut (15).
(8)
TORQUE the nut (15) to between 2.5 and 3.1 m.daN (18.43 and 22.86 lbf.ft)

_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.

Tighten and TORQUE the castle nuts (20) to between to between
0.55 and 0.75 m.daN (48.67 and 66.37 lbf.in) and safety them with the new cotter pin (21)
(c)
Connect the bonding straps (10).
(d)
Install the bolts (7), the washers (8) and the nuts (9).
(e)
Tighten and TORQUE the nuts (9) to between to between 0.22 and
0.26 m.daN (19.46 and 23.00 lbf.in)
(f)
Install the clamps (26) and (27) with the bolts (22), the washers (23), the bonding strap (24) and the nuts (25) at the tie-rod (4).
(4)
Install the tie-rods (4) and (6) at the vibration isolator.
(5)
Install the bolts (5) and (17), the washers (1) and (12) and the castle nuts (2) and (13).
(6)
Tighten and TORQUE the castle nuts

item (2) to between to between 0.3 and 0.35 m.daN (26.54 and 30.97 lbf.in),

item (13) to between to between 0.55 and 0.75 m.daN (48.67 and
