A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Put a container below the cover assembly (3) to collect the oil which will flow when you remove the drain plug (5).

Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR.

Set the LIGHT switch to the ON position.

A. Removal of the Generator Substitution Kit (131-9(A))
(Ref. Fig. 803/TASK 49-11-00-991-009)
(1) Put a container below the cover assembly (3) to collect the oil which will flow when you remove the drain plug (5).
WARNING : DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO
_______ PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(2)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the drain plug (5).
(3)
Remove the drain plug (5) from the cover assembly (3).
(4)
Remove the electrical connector (7) and the electrical cable connections (9) from the generator cable support (6).
(5)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(6)
Remove the nuts (4) from the cover assembly (3) and from the generator cable support (6).
(7)
Remove the COVER - ASSEMBLY, APU GEN (3) and the generator cable support (6) (Ref. AIPC 49110405010) from the mounting flange (1).
(8)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(9)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(10) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
