4. Procedure
_________ (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 49-12-54-991-003, 402/TASK 49-12-54-991-004) Subtask 49-12-54-480-051
A. Installation of the HOIST- MINILIFT CAUTION : WHEN YOU REMOVE (INSTALL) THE APU, DISENGAGE (ENGAGE) ALL THE
_______ VIBRATION ISOLATORS AT THE SAME TIME FROM THE APU MOUNT BRACKETS. IF YOU DISENGAGE (ENGAGE) THEM ONE AFTER THE OTHER, THE LOADS WILL NOT BE EQUAL. THIS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TIE RODS.
(1)
Install the HOIST - MINILIFT (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-480-001) Subtask 49-12-54-020-051
B.
Removal of the APU Mount Brackets
(1)
Slowly wind the handle on the APU hoist until the APU hoist-cable is in tension.
(2)
Remove the FWD left and FWD-right APU mount-brackets.
(a)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (10) of the FWD APU mount-bracket (17).
(b)
Remove the nut (11) and the washer (12) from the setscrew (15) and disconnect the bonding jumper (13).
(c)
Temporarily install the nut (11) adjacent to the nut (14) on the setscrew (15). Use the nut (11) as a locknut and remove the setscrew (15) from the FWD APU mount-bracket (17).

(d)
Remove the FWD APU mount-nut (16).
(e)
Remove the bolts (10) from the FWD APU mount-bracket (17).
(f)
Carefully pull the FWD APU mount-bracket (17) out and down to disconnect it from the APU and the vibration isolator.
NOTE : The FWD APU mount-bracket has a spigot which engages in
____ the APU. This spigot is 9.0906 mm (0.3578 in.) long.
(g)
Install the PROTECTOR - THREADS, APU MOUNTING BOLTS to the vibration isolators.
(h)
Clean the FWD APU mount-bracket and the setscrew with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001).
(i)
Do a visual inspection of the FWD APU mount-bracket for damage:
(j)
Do a visual inspection of the setscrew. Replace the setscrew and the nuts if necessary.
1_ Make sure that the bolt holes of the bracket are not
elongated.
2_ Make sure that the surface finish of the tapered hole is not
