A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3)
Make sure that the warning notices is on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001) or removed (Ref. TASK 52-41-21-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 52-41-22-000-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT SW 11LJ is set to the ON position. Subtask 49-12-54-865-057

A. Clean the rear APU mount-bracket with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001).
(1)
Do a visual inspection of the rear APU mount-bracket for damage:
(2)
Make sure that the bolt holes of the bracket are not elongated.
(3)
Make sure that the surface finish of the tapered shaft is not scratched, scored or burred.
(4)
Make sure that the thread in the bracket, for the setscrew is not damaged.
(5)
Make sure that the flange is not bent.
(6)
Make sure that there are no cracks in the rear APU mount-bracket. If you think there is a crack, do a liquid-penetrant (Ref. NTM 511014101) inspection.
(7)
Install the PROTECTOR - THREADS, APU MOUNTING BOLTS on the rear APU mount.

B. Installation of the APU Mount Brackets
(1) Install the FWD left and the FWD right APU mount-brackets.

(a)
Carefully put the FWD APU mount bracket (17) in position on the vibration isolator and the APU. Make sure that the spigot is correctly engaged in the APU.
(b)
Attach the FWD APU mount-bracket (17) to the APU with the bolts (10).
(c)
TORQUE the bolts (10) to between 2.6 and 3.0 m.daN (19.17 and
22.12 lbf.ft).
(d)
Remove the thread protector and install the FWD APU mount-nut (16).
(e)
TORQUE the FWD APU mount-nut (16) to between 2.5 and 3.1 m.daN
(18.43 and 22.86 lbf.ft)
(f)
Install the setscrew (15) in the FWD APU mount-bracket (17) and lock it in position with the nut (14).
(g)
Attach the bonding strap (13) to the setscrew (15) with the washer (12) and the nut (11) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-002).
(h)
Safety the bolts (10) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-018).
