(2)
Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3)
Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized. (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4)
Make sure that the access door 195BB is open.
(5)
Make sure that the container is in position.
(6)
Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
-in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel, - on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.

_________ Subtask 29-12-42-560-050
A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1)
Remove the parts which are attached to the removed accumulator (8) as follows:
(a)
Remove the union (10) and the O-ring (9).
(b)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the adapter (3).
(c)
Remove the adapter (3) complete with the charging valve (2) and the pressure gage (1).
(d)
Remove the O-ring (4) from the accumulator (8).
(e)
Discard the O-rings (4),(9).
(2)
Install the removed parts on the replaced accumulator as follows:
(a)
Remove the blanking caps from the accumulator (8).
(b)
Clean the union and the adapter connections and make sure that they are in good condition.
(c)
Lubricate the new O-rings (9) and the new O-rings (4) and all threads with HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003).
(d)
Install the O-ring (9) on the removed union (10).
(e)
Install the union (10) and TORQUE it to between 6.258 and 6.827 m.daN (46.15 and 50.34 lbf.ft).
(f)
Install the O-ring (4) on the removed adapter (3).
(g)
Install the adapter (3) together with the air pressure gage (1) and the charging valve (2).
(h)
TORQUE the adapter (3) to between 1.08 and 1.19 m.daN (95.57 and
105.30 lbf.in).
(i)
Safety the adapter (3) with lockwire, corrosion resistant steel
0.8 mm (0.032 in.).. Subtask 29-12-42-420-050
B. Installation of the Accumulator CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN
_______ YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION : YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS
_______
LUBRICANT.
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Remove all blanking caps.
(4)
Put the accumulator assembly in its mounting and install the nut (11).
NOTE : Install the accumulator assembly so that you can easily read
____ the pressure gage and you have good access to the charging valve.
(5)
Install the clamps (5) and tighten the screws.
(6)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(7)
Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the thread of the line end fitting.
(8) Install the hydraulic line free of stress with the union nut (12) on the union (10).
(9) TORQUE the union nut (12) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN (55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
Subtask 29-12-42-790-050
C. Test
(1) Fill the accumulator with nitrogen (Ref. TASK 12-14-29-614-001).
(2) Remove the warning notices from the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system and from the cockpit.
(3) Pressurize the hydraulic reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(4) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
