Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
-In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
-On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
(3)
Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

Make sure that the access door 195BB is open . Subtask 29-12-22-865-051

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Gas Charging-Valve
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the adapter (2).
(4)
Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the gas charging-valve (4).
(5)
Apply the HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the threads of the gas charging-valve (4) connection.
(6)
Make sure that the 0-ring seal (3) is installed on the gas charging-valve (4).
(7)
If the removed charging-valve (4) is to be installed, remove the used 0-ring seal (3) and install a new o-ring (3)
(8)
Install the gas charging-valve (4) on the adapter (2).
(9)
TORQUE the gas charging-valve (4) to between 1.42 and 1.54 m.daN
(10.47 and 11.35 lbf.ft).
(10) Safety the gas charging-valve (4) with the lockwire MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).

B. Preparation for Test
(1)
Fill the accumulator with nitrogen (Ref. TASK 12-14-29-614-001).
(2)
Close the gas charging-valve nut (5).
(3)
Torque the gas charging-valve nut (5) to between 0.3 and 0.6 m.daN
(26.54 and 53.09 lbf.in).
(4)
Remove the WARNING NOTICE from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
(5)
Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(6)
Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(7)
Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003). Subtask 29-12-22-790-050
C.
Test
(1) Apply the leak detector SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004) to the connections of the gas charging-valve (4), the adapter (2) and the endcap (6). Make sure that there are no leaks.

(2)
Close the access door 195BB.
