Install the coupling half (46) on the manifold (7).
(i)
TORQUE the coupling half (46) to between 9.7 and 10.7 m.daN
(71.53 and 78.90 lbf.ft).
(j)
Put the new O-ring (15) and the new O-ring (16) with the new back-up rings (41) in position on the check valve 3094GM.
(k)
Install the check valve 3094GM on the manifold (7).
(l)
TORQUE the check valve 3094GM to between 10.238 and 11.377 m.daN
(75.50 and 83.90 lbf.ft).
(m)
Safety the check valve 3094GM with the lockwire, MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(n)
Put the new O-ring (23) in position on the check valve 3093GM.
(o)
Install the check valve 3093GM in the port D of the manifold (7).
(p)
TORQUE the check valve 3093GM to between 6.265 and 6.835 m.daN
(46.20 and 50.40 lbf.ft).
(q)
Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the new square-section seals, back-up rings and O-rings.
(r)
Put the new back-up rings (37) on the side of the bobbins (9) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(s)
Put the new square-section seals (10) on the side of the bobbins
(9) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(t)
Put the new back-up rings (36) on the side of the bobbins (9) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(u)
Put the new O-rings (35) on the side of the bobbins (9) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(v)
Install the bobbins (9) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (7) (Ref. TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
(w)
Put the new back-up rings (40) on the side of the bobbins (30) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(x)
Put the new square-section seals (31) on the side of the bobbins
(30) without the identification grooves (equipment side).

B. Installation of the PTU Manifold CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN
_______ YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION : YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS

LUBRICANT.
(1)
Remove the sealant from the mating surface of the manifold (7) and the aircraft structure with a plastic or wooden scraper.
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Examine the structure of the aircraft in the area of the manifold attachment for cracks, corrosion or other damage.
(5)
Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the mating surface of the manifold (7).
(6)
Put the manifold (7) in position on the aircraft and install the bolts (1) and the washers (2). Do not tighten the bolts (1).
(7)
Remove the blanking plugs from the pipe end-fittings and the unions on the manifold (7).
(8)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.

(9) Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the threads of the
line end-fittings.

Connect the pipe (11) to the union (13).

TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (12) to between 9.7 and 10.7 m.daN (71.53 and 78.90 lbf.ft).
