Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Fuel Quantity Preselector 5QT
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connections. CAUTION : DO NOT PULL THE PRESELECTOR TOO FAR AND DO NOT LET IT HANG
_______ ON THE ELECTRICAL CABLE. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE.

Connect the electrical plug (1).
(3)
Install the preselector (2) in the mounting frame. Make sure the spigot on the preselector engages correctly in the backplate.
(4) Tighten the two quick-release fasteners (3). Subtask 28-42-21-865-052
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1QT, 2QT, 8QT.
