(1)
Install the bracket (11) on the probe (10).
(2)
Put the probe (10) in the correct position and loosely install the
bolts (9) and (12).
(3)
Measure the clearance between the structure and the top and bottom of the probe (10). Make sure that the clearance is a minimum of 7.0 mm (0.2755 in.)
NOTE : When a probe is installed, a minimum clearance of 7.0 mm
____ (0.2755 in.) is recommended. (A clearance of less than 7.0 mm (0.2755 in.) but more than 5.0 mm (0.1968 in.) is acceptable, if local installation does not allow the recommended clearance)
(4)
To prevent possible static discharge, make sure that the fuel probe is not less than 5.0 mm (0.1968 in.) from:
-the nearest structure
-rib and tank wall
-pipework
-brackets and p-clips
-fasteners and other metal parts.
(5)
TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 0.45 and 0.56 m.daN (39.82 and 49.55 lbf.in) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-002).
(6)
Tighten the bolts (12) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-002).
(7)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(8)
Identify and connect the electrical connectors of the cable (8) with the screws (3), (4) and (5).
(9)
TORQUE the screws (3), (4) and (5) as follows:
-
the screw (3) to between 0.102 and 0.124 m.daN (9.02 and 10.97 lbf.in)
-
the screw (4) to between 0.203 and 0.226 m.daN (17.96 and 19.99 lbf.in)
-
the screw (5) to between 0.316 and 0.362 m.daN (27.96 and 32.03 lbf.in).
(10)
Put the cable (8) in position under the clamp block (6) and TORQUE the clamp screw (7) to between 0.023 and 0.045 m.daN (2.03 and 3.98 lbf.in).
(11)
Install the cable ties (1), as necessary, to attach the cable (8) to the probe (10).
