(a) Identify the cable ends of the connector 4046VC1(4046VC2) (34).
(b) Use a crimping tool to crimp the connector pins on the wires of R the connector (34) (Ref. ESPM 203222).
(c)
Insert the connector pins into the connector (34) (Ref. WL 912840).
(d)
Tighten the clamp screws (36) of the backshell (35). Make sure that the cable is firmly clamped in the backshell (35).
(e)
Safety the clamp screws (36) and the backshell (35) with lockwire.
(f)
Install the new O-ring (30) on the connector (34).
(g)
Put the connector (34) in position in the hole in RIB15.
(h)
Get access through the opening 540KB(640KB) to RIB15.

(i)
Install the washer (31) and the nut (32) on the connector (34).
(j)
TORQUE the nut to between 0.84 and 0.92 m.daN (74.33 and 81.41 lbf.in).

Safety the nut (32) with the anti-rotation plate (41), the bolts

and the nuts (40).
(l)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) around the connector (34) to seal it to the rear spar.
(m)
Remove the blanking cap and connect the plug connector (33) to the connector (34).
(n)
Clean the plug connector (33) with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(o)
Apply a continuous layer of STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-008) to the plug connector (33).
(p)
Get access through the opening 540JB(640JB).
(q)
Put the cable for the connector (34) in position.
(r)
Attach the harness 14QT1(14QT2) to the structure with the cable-ties (1).
(s)
Get access through the opening 540BB(640BB) to RIB7.
(t)
Identify the cable ends for the connector 4040VC1(4040VC2) (34).
(u) Use a crimping tool to crimp the connector pins on the wires of R the connector (34) (Ref. ESPM 203222).
(v)
Insert the connector pins into the connector (34) (Ref. WL 912840).
(w)
Tighten the clamp screws (36) of the backshell (35). Make sure that the cable is firmly clamped in the backshell (35).

Safety the clamp screws (36) and the backshell (35) with lockwire.

Remove the blanking cap and apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-013) to the threads of the connector (34).

Install the O-ring (30) on the connector (34).
