B. Fuel Configuration
(1)
Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

A. Removal of the Wing-Tank-Fuel-Quantity-Probe
CAUTION : MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU
_______ DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Cut the cable ties (3) and (7). Remove the cut cable ties (3) and (7) from the tank and discard.
(2)
Disconnect the electrical cables (10) from the probe (6) or (9) and put blanking caps on the electrical cables (10).
NOTE : Probes 24QT1 and 24QT2 also have CIC connections.

For the probe (6):
(a)
Hold the probe (6) and remove the bolts (5) and (8) and the washers (4).
(b)
Remove the probe (6).
(4)
For the probe (9):
(a)
Remove the bolts (2).
(b)
Hold the probe (9) and remove the bolts (8) and the washers (4).
(c)
Remove the probe (9), then remove the support tube (1) from the probe (9).
