 (a) Examine the valve solenoid for correct installation.
 (b) If there is a loose valve solenoid, replace or tighten the
 mounting bolt(s).
 (c) Examine the valve solenoid for cracks.
 (d) Replace the valve solenoid if a crack is found
 (AMM 75-33-03/401).

 (5)  Remove the No. 1 segment of the fan exit liner (AMM 72-34-03/401) to
 get access to the control valve and the override solenoid for the
 air/oil heat exchanger valve of the IDG.

 (6)  Visually examine the control valve and the override solenoid.
 (a) Examine the override solenoid for correct installation.
 (b) If there is a loose override solenoid, replace or tighten the
 mounting bolt(s).
 (c) Examine the override solenoid for cracks.
 (d) Replace the override solenoid if a crack is found
 (AMM 75-33-04/401).

 (7)  Visually examine the air tubes and brackets for cracks and the
 correct installation.
 (a) If there are cracks or bends in the air tube(s) or cracks in
 the bracket(s) are found, replace the air tube(s) and
 bracket(s) as it is necessary.
 (b) The small damage on the surface of the air tube(s) is permitted
 if the operation of the system is not changed.
 (c) If there is a loose clamp(s) or bracket(s), replace or tighten
 the mounting bolt(s).

 (8)  Install the No. 1 and No. 7 segments of the fan exit liner
 (AMM 72-34-03/401).

 (1)  
This inspection examines the position indicators in the TCA (Turbine Cooling Air) valves, and in the TRC (Thermatic Rotor Control) valves. The valves are installed on the HPC case.
