13) Bend the cotter pin.
 14) Lock the rod end bearing to the actuator rod with the jamnut. a) Tighten the jamnut to 460-510 pound-inches (52.0-57.6
 newton-meters). 15) With the bellcrank rig pin and PWA 86344 holder removed, push down on the wrench again.
 16) Hold the actuator fully extended against the internal stop with 300-400 pound-inches (33.90-45.19 newton-meters) on the crowsfoot.
 17) While you hold the actuator fully extended against the internal stop, install the PWA 86344 holder between the jamnut and the top of the actuator housing.
 a)  Tighten the detail bolt to 8-10 pound-inches
 (0.904-1.130 newton-meters).
 NOTE:____ Do not tighten the detail bolt too much.
 b)  Tighten the detail jamnut with your hand.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE ACTUATOR ROD FULLY EXTENDED
_______ WHEN YOU INSTALL THE BELLCRANK RIG PIN. IF YOU LET THE ACTUATOR ROD RETRACT, YOU WILL NOT GET AN ACCURATE CHECK. A BAD RIGGING CAN CAUSE A DANGEROUS STABILITY AND EFFECTS ON THE LENGTH OF LIFE.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE END OF THE RIG PINS ARE CORRECTLY
_______ AND FULLY INSTALLED. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPRESSOR STATOR VANE CONTROL SYSTEM.
 18) Adjust the rod end bearing until you can put the bellcrank rig pin (PWA 86097) into the rig pin slot of the bellcrank arm and into the two holes of the support.
 19) Lock the jamnut and the rod end bearing with the key washer.

20) Bend one set of tabs on the rod end bearing. 21) Bend the other set of tabs on the jamnut. 22) Install the lockwire and seal.

 (3)  Do an adjustment of the unison rings with the steps that follow:
 (a)  
Remove the bellcrank rig pin.

 (b)  
Remove the PWA 86344 holder.

 (c)  
Push up on the wrench to retract the actuator rod.

 (d)  
Pull down on the wrench to fully extend the actuator rod again.

 (e)  
Hold the actuator fully extended against the internal stop with 300-400 pound-inches (33.90-45.19 newton-meters) on the crowsfoot.

 (f)  
While you hold the actuator fully extended against the internal stop, install the PWA 86344 holder between the jamnut and the top of the actuator housing. 1) Tighten the detail bolt to 8-10 pound-inches (0.904-1.130


 newton-meters).
 NOTE: Do not tighten the detail bolt too much.

 2) Tighten the detail jamnut with your hand.
 (g)  
Install the bellcrank rig pin again with the actuator rod fully extended.

 (h)  
Install the three bellcrank rig pins (PWA 85393) into the rig pin holes for the IGV, 5th-, and 6th-stage unison ring.

 (i)  
Install the bellcrank rig pin (PWA 85394 or PWA 86197) into the rig pin hole of the 7th-stage unison ring.

 (j)  
If you can install all the rig pins, then remove all of the rig pins and the PWA 86344 holder from the unison ring and the bellcrank.

 (k)  
If you cannot install all of the rig pins of the unison ring, then adjust the unison ring with the steps that follow: 1) Remove the rig pins for the unison ring and the bellcrank


 rig pins.

2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8)  Remove the PWA 86344 holder.Disconnect the unison ring linkage.Disassemble the adjuster. a) Discard the key washers.Assemble the unison ring linkage with the new key washers.Adjust the adjuster with the steps that follow:While you hold the actuator fully extended against the internal stop, install the PWA 86344 holder between the jamnut and the top of the actuator housing.Tighten the detail bolt to 8-10 pound-inches (0.094-1.130 newton-meters).
