D. Procedure

(1)
Install the ball joint assembly for the TCC control cable:
(a)
Lubricate the threads of the cable rod-end bearing and the ball joint assembly with engine oil.
(b)
Use the marks made on removal to assemble the parts to their correct position.
(c)
Install the ball joint assembly on the end of the cable rod against the jamnut. 1) Tighten the jamnut to 32-36 pound-inches (3.6-4.1
newton-meters). 2) Safety the jamnut to the ball joint assembly with lockwire.
(d)
Install the cable rod-end bearing with the jamnut to the ball joint assemby.
NOTE:____Do not tighten or safety the jamnut at this time. The Adjustment/Test procedure gives the instructions to tighten and safety the jamnut to the ball joint assembly.
(e)
Adjust the turbine cooling system (AMM 75-24-00/501).

Return the Aircraft to Its Usual Condition

_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT COULD OCCUR.
(1)
Close the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(2)
Close the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser
(AMM 78-31-00/201).
(4)
Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

1. General

A. This procedure is for Engines Pre-Pratt & Whitney SB 75-107 or Phase 3 changes.
NOTE: Pratt & Whitney SB 75-107 and Phase 3 changes remove the
____ Turbine Vane and Blade Cooling Air (TVBCA) Valve Position Switch.
B. This procedure gives the instructions to remove and install the position switch for the turbine vane and blade cooling air (TVBCA) valve.
C. The position switch is installed on the right TVBCA valve on the high pressure compressor (HPC) aft case at the 3 o'clock position.
D. You can get access to the position switch through the right thrust reverser.
