(1) For the applicable engine, open this circuit breaker and install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel

Open the left core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN AMM 78-31-00/201 WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Open the left thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the No. 7 segment of the fan exit liner (AMM 72-34-03/401).

Procedure

(1) Remove the solenoid:
(a)
Disconnect the EEC electrical connector from the solenoid.
1) Install protection caps on the EEC electrical connector and the receptacle on the solenoid.
(b)
Disconnect the two signal tubes and the 15th-stage air supply tube from the solenoid.
(c)
Remove the bolts which attach the solenoid and the bracket to the intermediate case.
NOTE: If necessary, loosen the bolt and nut which attach
____ the clamp of the accessory cooling tube to the bracket to get the clearance for the removal of the solenoid.
(d) Remove the solenoid from the engine.
