(i)  
Remove all of the rig pins.

 (j)  
Move the control handle to the neutral position.

 (k)  
Turn the valve handle for the air supply to the closed position.

 (l)  
Disconnect the air supply.

 (m)  
While you hold the tool adapters, disconnect the hoses (A and B) from the actuator.

 (n)  
While you hold the actuator adapter, remove the tool adapter from the PF port.

 (o)  
Install the protection covers to the hose ends.

 (p)  
Remove the electrical switch box, if it is installed: 1) Push the power switch on the electrical switch box to turn

 it off. 2) Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.

 (q)  
Make sure the harness connectors and the mating receptacles are clean and the pins are not bent. 1) Carefully make bent pins straight. 2) Remove all dirt and contamination from the pins.


 CAUTION: USE THE CORRECT ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE, AND TOOLS, FOR THE
_______ HARNESS CONNECTOR INSTALLATION (AMM 70-24-05/201). A LOOSE CONNECTOR PERMITS VIBRATION, WHICH CAN CAUSE THE CONTACTS TO WEAR AND DECREASES THE LIGHTNING PROTECTION. IF YOU USE THE INCORRECT ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE, OR TOOLS, A DAMAGED OR LOOSE CONNECTOR CAN OCCUR.
 (r)  Align the keyways and connect the W4P3 and the W5P7 harness connectors to receptacles J7 and J3 of the actuator. 1) Carefully push each connector into its applicable
 receptacle. 2) Tighten the coupling ring on the harness connector with your hand only.
 3)  The harness connector is correctly tightened when the color band, which is nearest the threads of the receptacle, does not show.

 (7)  
Install the hydraulic pressure tube of the compressor stator cylinder with the steps that follow:

 (a)  
Remove the protection covers.

 (b)  
Lubricate the tube adapter threads at each end with the antigalling compound.

 (c)  
Install the tube nut to the larger adapter on the actuator.

 (d)  
Install the tube nut to the hydraulic manifold tee.

 (e)  
Tighten the tube nuts with your hand.

 (f)  
Lubricate the threads of the clamp bolt with engine oil.

(g)  
Tighten the clamp bolt, which attaches the hydraulic pressure tube to the engine, to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (h)  
Tighten the tube nuts to 225-250 pound-inches (25.4-28.2 newton-meters).

 (i)  
Install the lockwire to the tube nuts.

 (8)  
Install the hydraulic return tube of the compressor stator cylinder with the steps that follow:

 (a)  
Remove the protection covers.

 (b)  
Lubricate the tube adapter threads at each end with the antigalling compound.

 (c)  
Install the tube nut to the smaller adapter on the actuator.

 (d)  
Install the tube nut to the tee on the inlet return manifold.

 (e)  
Tighten the tube nuts with your hand.

 (f)  
Lubricate the threads of the clamp bolt with engine oil.

 (g)  
Tighten the clamp bolt, which attaches the hydraulic return tube to the engine, to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (h)  
Tighten the tube nuts to 225-250 pound-inches (25.4-28.2 newton-meters).

 (i)  
Install the lockwire to the tube nuts.

 

 G.
Put the Aircraft Back to Its Usual Condition.

 CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE TO REMOVE ALL OF THE RIG PINS AFTER THE CHECK. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE RIG PINS, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
 (1)  Do an inspection of the stator vane actuator (SVA) position
 indication (AMM 75-31-00/601).
