_______
SYSTEM. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, DAMAGE TO THE STATOR-VANE
 SYSTEM CAN OCCUR.

 (1)  With a standard crowsfoot and a wrench on the flats of the bellcrank adjacent to the 5th-stage adjuster, do the steps that follow:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH TORQUE ON THE BELLCRANK.
_______ TOO MUCH TORQUE CAN BEND THE BELLCRANK BRACKET WHICH CAN CAUSE A BAD RIGGING.
 (a)
Pull down on the wrench until you feel the actuator internal stop of the actuator.

 (b)
Push up on the wrench until you are off the actuator internal stop.

 (c)
Pull down on the wrench again until you feel the internal stop.

 (d)
Hold the bellcrank until the actuator rod is fully extended against the internal stop (vanes open).

 (e)
Hold the actuator fully extended against the internal stop with 300-400 pound-inches (33.90-45.19 newton-meters) on the crowsfoot.

 (f)
Install the PWA 86344 holder between the jamnut and the top of the actuator housing. 1) Tighten the detail bolt to 8-10 pound-inches (0.904-10130

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE END OF THE RIG PINS ARE CORRECTLY AND
_______ FULLY INSTALLED. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPRESSOR STATOR VANE CONTROL SYSTEM.
 (g)  Adjust the rod end bearing until you can put the bellcrank rig pin (PWA 86097) into the rig pin slot of the bellcrank arm and into the two holes of the support.
NOTE: You must apply the same torque on the bellcrank when you
____
 install the bellcrank rig pin.

 (h)
If you can install the bellcrank rig pin, do the adjustment of the unison rings.

 (i)
If you cannot install the bellcrank rig pin, do the subsequent steps to adjust the rod end bearing.
