Tighten the forward jamnut against the aft support bracket to 675-750 pound-inches (76.3-84.7 newton-meters) while you hold the aft jamnut with a wrench.
(i)
Make sure again that the TCC air valve actuator has not moved from its position against the forward bracket stop and that the coupling nut turns freely.
(j)
Safety the jamnuts at the aft support bracket with lockwire.
(k)
Tighten the coupling nut at the forward end of the control cable to 100-175 pound-inches (11.3-14.1 newton-meters). 1) Safety the coupling nut with lockwire.

(l) Attach the control cable to the two adjustable brackets with the steps that follow: 1) If necessary, install the two clamps on the control cable
at each bracket location.
2) If the installation of the clamps to the brackets will apply tension to the control cable, adjust the brackets with the steps that follow: a) Loosen the jamnuts of the applicable turnbuckles. b) Adjust the applicable turnbuckles as necessary to
remove the tension on the control cable. c) Lubricate the threads of the turnbuckle ends with engine oil. d) Tighten the jamnuts to 14-16 pound-inches (1.6-1.8 newton-meters). e) Safety the jamnuts with lockwire. 3) Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the control cable clamps, with engine oil.
4) Attach the control cable clamps to the brackets with the bolts and nuts. a) Tighten the bolts to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7
newton-meters).
(m) Do the adjustment of the turbine cooling system (AMM 75-24-00/501).
NOTE: The bolt and nut that connect the cable rod end to the
____ idler arm of the shutoff valve for the HPT case cooling air, will be installed during the adjustment procedure.
F. Return the Aircraft to Its Usual Condition.
