Put the correct MNVR MARGIN value into the CDU scratchpad.

Push LSK 4L and make sure the CDU shows the correct MNVR MARGIN value adjacent to LSK 4L.

(m)  
Put the correct MIN CRZ TIME value into the CDU scratchpad.

 (n)  
Push LSK 5L and make sure the CDU shows the correct MIN CRZ TIME value adjacent to LSK 5L.

 (o)  
Put the correct MIN R/C CLB value into the CDU scratchpad.

 (p)  
Push LSK 3R and make sure the CDU shows the correct MIN R/C CLB value adjacent to LSK 3R.

 (q)  
Put the correct MIN R/C CRZ value into the CDU scratchpad.

 (r)  
Push LSK 4R and make sure the CDU shows the correct MIN R/C CRZ value adjacent to LSK 4R.

 FLIGHT MANAGEMENT COMPUTER SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task is an operational test of the Flight Management Control System (FMCS). The second task is a system test of the FMCS.
 B.  The FMCS built-in test (BITE) is used to make sure that the FMCS operates correctly. You use the Control Display Unit (CDU) to operate the FMCS BITE.
 C.  The FMCS BITE does the operational and system tests, and is also used to troubleshoot the system.
 D.  A failure in the FMCS is shown by these indicator lights and CDU screen displays:
 (1)  
The CDU display shows "FMC".

 (2)  
The FAIL indicator light on the CDU front panel will come on.

 (3)  
The FMC P/RST indicator light will come on.

 (4)  
The FAILURE indicator light on the FMC will come on.


 E.  A blank CDU display is an indication of a CDU failure.
 F.  The airplane's location is necessary to complete the FMCS BITE test. The location must be in degrees accurate to 0.1 arc-minutes of the latitude.
 G.  These systems must operate correctly for you to complete the FMCS BITE tests.

 (2)  
Master Dim and Test, Master Warning and Caution Lights (AMM 33-15-00)

 (3)  
Digital Flight Control System (DFCS) (AMM 22-11-01)

 (4)

 (5)  
VHF Navigation System (AMM 23-21-00)

 (6)  
Digital Air Data Computer (DADC) (AMM 34-12-01)

 (7)  
IRS (AMM 34-28-01)

 (8)  
AIRPLANES WITH ANALOG FUEL QUANTITY INDICATORS;
 Fuel Quantity Measure System (AMM 28-41-00)


 (9)  
AIRPLANES WITH SIMMONDS DIGITAL FUEL QUANTITY INDICATORS; Fuel Quantity Measure System (AMM 28-41-02)


 H.  This equipment must operate correctly for you to complete the FMCS BITE tests.
