 (14) Do the minimum rate-of-climb (MIN R/C), engine out (ENG OUT) verification:
 NOTE: The minimum rate-of-climb (MIN R/C), engine out (ENG
____ OUT) values are used to find the minimum rate of climb margin. And also, to calculate the flight envelope at the engine out speed. Maximum altitude are calculated such that there some unwanted thrust available, equivalent to the minimum rate-of-climb values. These values can possibly different for each thrust level (CLB, CRZ and ENG OUT). Permitted entry range is 0-500 F.P.M (Feet Per Minute).
 (a) Make sure the CDU display shows the PERF FACTOR 1/1 page.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE CORRECT VALUE BEFORE YOU DO
_______ THE ADJUSTMENT FOR THE MIN R/C ENG OUT. YOU CAN GET THE CORRECT VALUE OF MIN R/C ENG OUT FROM THE AIRLINE DEPARTMENT.
 (b)  
Use the CDU keyboard to put ARM into the CDU scratch pad.

 (c)  
Push LSK 6R and make sure the CDU display shows ARM adjacent to 6R.

Use the CDU keyboard to put the correct MIN R/C ENG OUT value into the CDU scratch pad.

 (e)  
Push LSK 5R and make sure the CDU display shows the MIN R/C ENG OUT adjacent to LSK 5R.

 G. FMC/DAA Interface Test

 (1)  
Do the preparation test in this task: "Operational Test - FMCS" if it is necessary.

Align the IRS (Ref 34-28-00/201).

 (3)  
Do the FMC/DAA Interface Test:

 (a)  
Make sure the HSI switches on the captain's and the first officer's lightshield panel (P7) are in the NAV position.

 (b)  
Push the INIT REF key on the CDU front panel to show the POS INIT or PERF INIT page.

 (c)  
Push the PROG key on the CDU keyboard to show the PROGRAM 1/2 page.

 (d)  
Put the AUTO/MAN switches on the captain's and the first officer's VHF NAV panel in the MAN position.

 (e)  
Make sure there is an M in front of the NAV tuner frequencies between LSKs 6L and 6R on the CDU display.

 (f)  
Turn the Captain's frequency select control, on the Captain's VHF NAV control panel, to 115.80 Mhz.

 (g)  
Make sure the CDU display shows 115.80 between the LSKs 6L and 6R.

 (h)  
Turn the Captain's frequency select control to 117.10 Mhz.

 (i)  
Make sure the CDU display shows 117.10 between the LSKs 6L and 6R.

 (j)  
Turn the First Officer's frequency select control, on the First Officer's VHF NAV control panel, to 115.80 Mhz.

 (k)  
Make sure the CDU display shows 115.80 between the LSKs 6L and 6R.

 (l)  
Turn the First Officer's frequency select control to 117.50 Mhz.

 (m)  
Make sure the CDU display shows 117.50 between the LSKs 6L and 6R.

 (n)  
Put the captain's AUTO/MAN switch in the AUTO position.

 (o)  
Put the first officer's AUTO/MAN switch in the AUTO position.

 (p)  
Make sure there is an A in front of the NAV tuner frequencies between LSKs 6L and 6R on the CDU display.

 (q)  
Put the Captain's AUTO/MAN switch in the MAN position.

 (r)  
Put the First Officer's AUTO/MAN switch in the MAN position.

 (s)  
Push the INIT REF key on the CDU front panel.


 H. Put The Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

If the IRS operation is not necessary, put the mode select switches on the IRS to the OFF position.
