(9) S 285-200AIRPLANES WITH FMC P/N 10-62044-101 THRU -301(SOFTWARE UPDATE 0-6); Do the performance (PERF) code verification:
NOTE:____ The performance code gives the climb thrust operation. The PERF CODE, shown on the CDU PERF FACTORS 1/1 page, is in binary form. The PERF CODE shows the state of the FMC performance option program pins. You can use the FMC program pins to change the performance code.
(a) Make sure the CDU display shows the PERF FACTOR 1/1 page.
CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE CORRECT VALUES BEFORE YOU DO THE ADJUSTMENT FOR THE PERFORMANCE CODE. YOU CAN GET THE CORRECT CODE VALUES FROM THE APPLICABLE AIRLINE DEPARTMENT.
(b) (c) Make sure that the performance code is 1000.If the performance code is not correct, adjust the FMC program pins to change the performance code.
NOTE:____ The performance option program pins are: C15, D15, E15, and F15. You can find these pins in the middle receptacle, at the rear of the FMC.

Do the drag factor verification:
NOTE: The drag factor is the correction to be applied to the
____ airplane drag level that is kept in the computer. The drag factor is used to examine aerodynamic modifications, airplane differences, or drag deterioration. The value is shown as a percentage. The permitted entry range for the drag factor is -9.9% to +9.9%.
(a) Make sure the CDU display shows the PERF FACTOR 1/1 page.

Use this CDU keyboard to put ARM into the CDU scratch pad.

Push LSK 6R to show ARM adjacent to LSK 6R.
(d)
Use this CDU keyboard to put the correct drag factor value into the CDU scratch pad.
(e)
Push LSK 2L and make sure the CDU display shows the correct drag factor value adjacent to LSK 2L.

(14) Do the fuel flow (F-F) verification:
NOTE: The fuel flow (F-F) factor is the correction applied to the
____ engine fuel flow model that is kept in the computer. The fuel flow is used to examine for engine modifications, engine differences, or deterioration. The value is shown as a percentage. The permitted entry range for fuel flow factor is -9.9% to +9.9%.
