(c) Remove the defective lamp assembly from the switch circuit board.

(3) Install the lamp assembly:
(a)
Install the new lamp assembly on the switch circuit board.
(b)
Install the legend plate on the CDU with the two screws and lockwashers.

(4) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
(a) P18-2 Panel
1) FMCS CDU No. 1
NOTE: On airplanes with provisions for dual FMC, FMCS CDU
____ (ANCDU, MCDU) No. 2 circuit breaker will be on the P6-1 panel.

(1) Open this circuit breaker and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P18-2 Panel
1) FMCS CDU No. 1
NOTE: On airplanes with provisions for dual FMC, FMCS CDU
____ (ANCDU, MCDU) No. 2 circuit breaker will be on the P6-1 panel.

(2) Remove the lamp:
(a)
Remove the two screws that hold the lamp holder to the lighted switch.
(b)
Remove the lamp assembly from the lamp holder.

(3) If the EXEC key lamp operation is intermittent, do these steps:
(a) Remove all dust or loose dirt from the EXEC push-button housing and the EXEC lamp assembly with a soft-bristle brush.
WARNING: YOU MUST WEAR A FACE MASK OR GOGGLES, PLASTIC (PVA) GLOVES
_______ AND BE IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA WHEN YOU USE TRICHLOROETHANE. TRICHLORETHANE IS CAUSTIC AND TOXIC. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THESE PRECAUTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONNEL CAN RESULT.
(b)
Clean the electrical contacts on the EXEC lamp assembly with a soft-bristle brush and solvent.
(c)
Dry the EXEC lamp assembly with a vacuum source.

(4) Install the lamp:
(a)
Install the new lamp assembly.
(b)
Install the lamp holder with the two screws that keep the lamp holder on the lighted switch panel.

(5) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
(a) P18-2 Panel
1) FMCS CDU No. 1

Do the CDU Annunciator Lamp Test:
(a) Make sure the DIM & TEST circuit breaker on the P6-3 circuit breaker panel is closed.
