 S 714-035
 (2)  Do these steps to do the annunciator test:
 (a)  
Make sure the FAIL light is on.

 (b)  
Make sure the FMC P/RST lights on the captains (P1) and first officers Autoflight Status Indicator (ASA) are on.

 (c)  
Set the FMC SOURCE SELECT SWITCH to the BOTH ON R position.

 (d)  
Make sure that the FAIL lights are off.

 (e)  
Make sure that the FMC P/RST lights on the captain's and first officer's ASAs are off.

 (f)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6-1 panel
 a) FMCS CMPTR No. 2

 

 (g)  
Make sure the FAIL lights come on.

 (h)  
Make sure the FMC P/RST lights on the captains and first officers ASAs come on.

 (i)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P18-2 panel
 a) FMCS CMPTR No. 1

 

 (j)  
After 15 seconds, set the FMCS SOURCE SELECT SWITCH to the BOTH ON L position.

 (k)  
Make sure the FAIL lights go off.

 (l)  
Make sure the FMC P/RST lights on the captains and first officers ASAs go off.

 (m)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6-1 panel
 a) FMCS CMPTR No. 2

 

 (n)  
After 15 seconds, set the FMC SOURCE SELECT SWITCH to the NORMAL position.

 (o)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P18-2 panel
 a) FMCS CMPTR No. 1

 

 (p)  
Put the MASTER DIM and TEST switch in the TEST position

 (q)  
Make sure the DSPY, FAIL, MSG, OFST, and EXEC lights on the CDU front panel come on.

 (r)  
Make sure that the FMC P/RST lights stay on.

 (s)  
Put the MASTER DIM and TEST switch in the DIM position 1) Make sure the FAIL lights on the CDUs are the only lights

 that are on. 2) Make sure that the FAIL lights are dim.

 (t)  
Put the MASTER DIM and TEST switch to the BRT position. 1) Make sure that the FAIL lights are bright. 2) Make sure that the FMC P/RST lights on the ASAs are bright.

 (u)  Push the FMC P/RST lights on the ASAs and make sure that the lights go off.

 (3)  Close this circuit breaker:
 (a)  P18-1 panel
 1) FMCS CMPTR No. 1

 F.  Navigation Data Base, Operational Program, Engine Type and Clock Inspection.

 (1)  
Do the preparation test in this task: "Operational Test - FMCS" if it is necessary.

 (2)  
Do these steps to examine the navigation data base, the operational program, and the clock:

 (a)  
Open the FMCS CMPTR circuit breaker on the P18 panel.

 (b)  
After 15 seconds, close the FMCS CMPTR circuit breaker.

 (c)  
Make sure the CDU display shows the IDENT 1/1 or 1/2 page.

 (d)  
Make sure the part numbers of the navigation data base and the operational program are correct.

 


 NOTE: The applicable Airline Department will have the correct
____ part number for the navigation data base and the operational program.
 (e)  Make sure the date for the navigation database on the CDU IDENT page 1/1 or 1/2 is correct.
 NOTE: You can find the active navigation database dates
____ on the line under ACTIVE. The applicable Airline Department will have this data.
 (f)  Push the LSK adjacent to POS INIT> to show the POS INIT 1/3 page.
 NOTE: You can also push the CDU INIT REF key to show the POS
____ INIT 1/3 page on the display.
 (g)  
Make sure the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and date on each CDU agrees with the GMT on the captain's clock.

 (h)  
Put the FMC SOURCE SELECT SWITCH in the BOTH ON R position.

 (i)
