Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P18 Panel
1) FMC (or FMCS CMPTR)
2) CDU No. 1
3) CDU No. 2
4) MODE ANN

(3) Close the circuit breakers that you opened, but do not close the FMC (or FMCS CMPTR) circuit breaker.

(4) Do the Annunciator Test:
(a)
Make sure the FAIL light on each CDU comes on.
(b)
Make sure the FMC P/RST light on the Captain's Instrument Panel (P2) is on.
(c)
Make sure the FMC P/RST light on the First Officer's Instrument Panel (P3) is on.
(d)
Put the Master Dim and Test switch on the Pilot's Center Instrument Panel (P2) in the TEST position.
(e)
Make sure the DSPY, FAIL, MSG, OFST and EXEC lights on the CDU front panel come on.
(f)
Make sure the FMC P/RST light on the Captain's FMA stays on.
(g)
Make sure the FMC P/RST light on the First Officer's FMA stays on.
(h)
Put the MASTER DIM and TEST switch in the DIM position. 1) Make sure the FAIL light on each CDU is on dimly. 2) Make sure the DSPY, MSG, OFST and EXEC lights go off.
(i)
Put the MASTER DIM and TEST switch in the BRT position. 1) Make sure the FAIL light on each CDU comes on brightly. 2) Make sure the FMC P/RST light on the Captain's FMA comes on
brightly. 3) Make sure the FMC P/RST light on the First Officer's FMA comes on brightly.
(j)
Push the FMC P/RST switch on the Captain's FMA and make sure the FMC P/RST light goes off.
(k)
Push the FMC P/RST switch on the First Officer's FMA and make sure the FMC P/RST light goes off.

(5) Close the FMC (or FMCS CMPTR) circuit breaker on the P18 panel.

(b) (c) (d) After 15 seconds, close the FMC (or FMCS CMPTR) circuit breaker.Make sure the CDU display shows the IDENT 1/1 page.Make sure the part numbers of the navigation data base and the operational program are correct.
