On the RMP 1 only, make sure that the ON/OFF switch is at ON.
C. Test
(1) Do the BITE test of the HF system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-00-740-001). NOTE : Do this test for the HF 1 only.

4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message RMP1/2/3 (1RG1/2/3)/HF1 (3RE1):
- replace the RMP-COM/NAV FREQ SEL, 1 (1RG1) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the COM 1 DATA OUTPUT signal (from RMP 1 (1RG1) pins A/p, q to the first terminal block) (Ref. ASM 23-13/02).

A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message RMP1/2/3 (1RG1/2/3)/HF2 (3RE2):
- replace the XCVR-HF, 2 (3RE2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the RMP-COM/NAV FREQ SEL, 2 (1RG2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring (from the HF2 transceiver (3RE2) to the RMP2 (1RG2)) of the FREQ SELECT INPUT PORT A signal (from pins AB/3E, 3F to pins A/r, s)) (Ref. ASM 23-13/02).
