A. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

B. Job Set-up
On the RMP 2 only, make sure that the ON/OFF switch is at ON.
C. Test
(1) Do the BITE test of the VHF system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-00-740-001).
NOTE : Do this test for the VHF 2 only.

4. Fault Isolation

R **ON A/C 001-049, 062-099, 101-149, 151-199, 201-299, 301-399, 401-499,
A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message RMP1/2/3 (1RG1/2/3)/VHF2 (1RC2)
- replace the XCVR-VHF, 2 (1RC2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the RMP-COM/NAV FREQ SEL, 2 (1RG2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring from VHF 2 transceiver (1RC2) to RMP 2 (1RG2) of the FREQ SELECT INPUT PORT A signal, from pins AB/11A, 11B to pins A/<R and <S (Ref. ASM 23-13/02).
**ON A/C 051-061,
A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message VHF 2 : NO DATA FROM CONTROL SOURCE:
- replace the XCVR-VHF, 2 (1RC2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the RMP-COM/NAV FREQ SEL, 2 (1RG2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring from VHF 2 transceiver (1RC2) to RMP 2 (1RG2) of the FREQ SELECT INPUT PORT A signal, from pins AB/11A, 11B to pins A/<R and <S (Ref. ASM 23-13/02).
