B. If the test gives the maintenance message HF2 (3RE2):
- do a check of the circuit breaker (1RE2) status.
(1) If the circuit breaker is closed:
- do a check for 115VAC at pins AC/4, 5, 6 of the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
(a) If there is 115VAC:
- replace the XCVR-HF, 2 (3RE2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-400-001).
(b) If there is no 115VAC:
- do a check for a ground signal at pin AC/8 of the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
1_ If there is no ground signal:
- repair the wiring between the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2) pin
AC/8 and the ground terminal (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
2 If there is a ground signal:
_
- do a check of the wiring from the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2) pins AC/4, 5, 6 to the circuit breaker (1RE2) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
a If there is no continuity:
_
- repair the above wiring. b If there is continuity:
_ - replace the circuit breaker (1RE2).
(2) If the circuit breaker is open:
- close it.
(a) If it opens again:
- replace the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-400-001).
1 If the fault continues:
_
- do a check for a short to ground at the wiring (between the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2) pins AC/4, 5, 6 and the circuit breaker) (1RE2) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
a If there is a short to ground:
_
- repair the related wiring. b If there is no short to ground:
_ - replace the C/B-COM NAV/HF2 (1RE2).
