 A. Do the bite test of the cabin intercommunication data system (CIDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-003).
 4. Fault Isolation

R A. If the test gives a different maintenance message, do the trouble R shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
 B. If the test gives the maintenance message 23-33-54/BUS XXYYR:
 - do a check for the correct identification of the SEAT ELECTRONIC BOX (100MKxx) (SEB) in the seat rows XX and YY.
 (1) If the position of the SEB (100MKxx) in seat row XX is correctly identified:
 - Make sure that the SEB (100MKxx) in front of the seat row XX is connected to the SEB (100MKxx) in the seat row XX on the right side of the cabin.

 May 01/05 CES (a) If that is true:

 - do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between the SEB (100MKxx) in front of the seat row XX and the SEB (100MKxx) in the seat row XX on the right side of the cabin. (Ref. ASM 23-33/03):

 - the SEB (100MKxx) connector P1/9 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/9.

 - the SEB (100MKxx) connector P1/5 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/5.

 - the SEB (100MKxx) connector P1/7 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/7.

 - the SEB (100MKxx) connector P1/8 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/8.

 

 - do the Test of the Passenger Entertainment (Music) MK (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-740-002).

 1 If the test gives a different maintenance message 23-33-54/BUS

 XXYYR:

 - continue with para. 4.B.(2).
 2 If the fault continues:
_
 - replace the SEAT ELECTRONIC BOX (100MKxx) in the seat row XX on the right side of the cabin (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-46-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-46-400-001).
 a If the BITE test (part of installation procedure) gives a
_ different maintenance message 23-33-54/BUS XXYYR:
 - continue with para. 4.B.(2).
 3 If the fault continues:
_
 - replace the SEAT ELECTRONIC BOX (100MKxx) in the seat row in front of the seat row XX on the right side of the cabin (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-46-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-46-400-001).
 a If the BITE test (part of installation procedure) gives a
_ different maintenance message 23-33-54/BUS XXYYR:
 - continue with para. 4.B.(2).
 (b) If a WALL DISCONNECT BOX (50MKx) (WDB) is connected directly to the SEB (100MKxx) in the seat row XX, instead of the SEB (100MKxx) in the seat row in front of the seat row XX on the right side of the cabin and:
 1 If a SEB TERMINATOR (101MKxx) is connected to the SEB
_ (100MKxx) in the seat row in front of the seat row XX:
 - do a check for the functional condition and the correct installation of that SEB TERMINATOR (101MKxx) (Ref. ASM 23-33/03).

 - do the Test of the Passenger Entertainment (Music) MK (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-740-002).

 - continue with para. 4.B.(2).
 2 If the fault coninues and:
_
 a If another/other SEB TERMINATOR(s) (101MKxx) is/are
_ connected to a/the WDB(s) (50MKx) in line to the SEB (100MKxx) in the seat row in front of the seat row XX:
 - do the check above again on that/these SEB TERMINATORS(s) (101MKxx) (Ref. ASM 23-33/03).

 - do the Test of the Passenger Entertainment (Music) MK (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-740-002).

 b If the test gives a different maintenance message
_ 23-33-54/BUS XXYYR:
 - continue with para. 4.B.(2).
 3 If the fault continues:
_
 - do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between the SEB (100MKxx) in the seat row XX and the connected WDB (50MKx) on the right side of the cabin (Ref. ASM 23-33/03):

 - the WDB (50MKx) connector P1/6 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/6.

 - the WDB (50MKx) connector P1/9 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/9.

 - the WDB (50MKx) connector P1/5 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/5.

 - the WDB (50MKx) connector P1/7 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/7.

 - the WDB (50MKx) connector P1/8 and the SEB (100MKxx) connector P2/8.

 

 - do the Test of the Passenger Entertainment (Music) MK (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-740-002).
