 3. Fault Confirmation

 A. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

 B. Test
 (1) Do the operational test of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 2.
 (a) If the circuit breaker 5CC2 is open refer to Para. 4.B.

 4. Fault Isolation
_______________

 A. If the circuit breaker 5CC2 is closed, and if the test gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC2:
 - do a check for 28VDC at the FAC 2 (1CC2).
 (1) If there is 28VDC:

 - replace the FAC-2 (1CC2), (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).

 (2) If there is no 28VDC:


 - do a check of the wiring of the 28VDC signal from the circuit
 breaker (5CC2) to the FAC 2 (1CC2). R - do a check of the wiring of the ground signal at the FAC 2 (1CC2) R pin AC/3.
 (Ref. ASM 22-67/01).
 (a) If there is no continuity:

 - repair the above wirings.

 (b) If there is continuity:


 - replace the C/B-AUTO FLT/FAC 2/28VDC (5CC2).
 B. If the circuit breaker 5CC2 is open:
 - close this circuit breaker.
 (1) If this circuit breaker opens again:
 - disconnect these three units:
 LIMITATION UNIT-RUDDER TRAVEL (4CC)
 ACTUATOR-RUDDER TRIM (10CC)
 FAC-2 (1CC2)


 - close the circuit breaker 5CC2.


 (a) If this circuit breaker stays closed:

 - connect the units one by one until the circuit breaker 5CC2 opens again

 - replace the related unit: for LRU 4CC: (Ref. AMM TASK 27-23-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-23-51-400-001) for LRU 10CC: (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-400-001) for LRU 1CC2: (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).

 

 (b) If this circuit breaker opens again:


 - do a check for a short to ground between the circuit breaker 5CC2 and the three units, (Ref. ASM 22-67/01).
 1 If there is a short to ground:
_ - repair the related wiring.

 - replace the C/B-AUTO FLT/FAC 2/28VDC (5CC2).
 (2) Connect all the units.
 C. Do the test given in Para. 3.


 Loss of the FAC 1 GENERAL Bus
 1. Possible Causes

 - wiring of the FAC OWN (GENERAL BUS) from the FAC 1 (1CC1) to the first terminal block

 (1) Do the operational test of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 1.
 4. Fault Isolation

 A. If the test gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC1/C-M ARINC LINK:
 - replace the FAC-1 (1CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).
 (1) If the fault continues:
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the FAC OWN (GENERAL BUS) from the FAC 1 (1CC1) to the first terminal block, (Ref. ASM 22-69/01).
