A. Test
(1) Do the BITE test of the HF system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-00-740-001).
NOTE : Do this test for the HF 2 only.

4. Fault Isolation

**ON A/C 001-049, 101-105, 151-199,
A. If the test gives the maintenance message
HF2 ANTENNA (5RE)/FEEDER (6RE2)/CPLR (4RE2)/COAX:
- replace the COUPLER-HF, 2 (4RE2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-HF, 2 (3RE2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-400-001).

- do a check of the wiring from the HF 2 coupler (4RE2): . to the ground:
* 4RE2 pins A/G, D
. to the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2):
* 4RE2 pins A/A, L to 3RE2 pins AC/9, 1
* 4RE2 pins A/B, c to 3RE2 pins AB/4E, 4F
* 4RE2 pin B to 3RE2 pin AB/C (coaxial) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
(a) If there is no continuity:
- repair the related wiring.
(b) If there is continuity:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the HF 2 coupler (4RE2) and the HF antenna (5RE) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
1 If there is no continuity:
_ - repair the above wiring.
2 If there is continuity:
_
- replace the ANTENNA-HF (5RE), (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-11-400-001).
R **ON A/C 051-099, 201-210, 301-399, 401-499,
A. If the test gives the maintenance message
HF2 (3RE2) /COAX:
- replace the COUPLER-HF, 2 (4RE2), (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-HF, 2 (3RE2), (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check of the wiring from the HF 2 coupler (4RE2) . to the ground:
* 4RE2 pins A/G, D
. to the HF 2 transceiver (3RE2):
* 4RE2 pins A/A, L to 3RE2 pins AC/9, 1
* 4RE2 pins A/B, c to 3RE2 pins AB/4E, 4F
* 4RE2 pin B to 3RE2 pin AB/C (coaxial) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
(a) If there is no continuity:
- repair the related wiring.
(b) If there is continuity:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the HF 2 coupler (4RE2) and the HF antenna (5RE) (Ref. ASM 23-11/02).
