(1) Do the BITE test of the HF system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-00-740-001).
NOTE : Do this test for the HF 1 only.

A. If the test gives the maintenance message
HF1 ANTENNA (5RE)/FEEDER (6RE1)/CPLR (4RE1)/COAX:
- replace the COUPLER-HF, 1 (4RE1) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-HF, 1 (3RE1) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-400-001).

May 01/05 CES (2) If the fault continues:
- do a check of the wiring from the HF 1 coupler (4RE1): . to the ground: 4RE1 pins A/G, D . to the HF 1 transceiver (3RE1):
* 4RE1 pins A/A, L to 3RE1 pins AC/9, 1
* 4RE1 pins A/B, c to 3RE1 pins AB/4E, 4F
* 4RE1 pin B to 3RE1 pin AB/C (coaxial) (Ref. ASM 23-11/01).
(a) If there is no continuity:
- repair the related wiring.
(b) If there is continuity:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the HF 1 coupler (4RE1) and the HF antenna (5RE) (Ref. ASM 23-11/01).
1 If there is no continuity:
_ - repair the above wiring.
2 If there is continuity:
_
- replace the ANTENNA-HF (5RE) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-11-400-001).
R **ON A/C 051-099, 106-149, 201-299, 301-399, 401-499,
A. If the test gives the maintenance message
HF1 (3RE1)/ COAX:
- replace the COUPLER-HF, 1 (4RE1), (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-HF, 1 (3RE1), (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-33-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check of the wiring from the HF 1 coupler (4RE1) . to the ground: 4RE1 pins A/G, D . to the HF 1 transceiver (3RE1):
* 4RE1 pins A/A, L to 3RE1 pins AC/9, 1
* 4RE1 pins A/B, c to 3RE1 pins AB/4E, 4F
* 4RE1 pin B to 3RE1 pin AB/C (coaxial) (Ref. ASM 23-11/01).
(a) If there is no continuity:
- repair the related wiring.
(b) If there is continuity:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the HF 1 coupler (4RE1) and the HF antenna (5RE) (Ref. ASM 23-11/01).
