Make sure that the access platform is in position at the zone 831 or 841 or 832 or 842.

Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Ballast Weight
(Ref. Fig. 205A/TASK 52-10-00-991-049-A)
(1) Remove the BALLAST WEIGHT - PASSENGER CREW DOOR (98D52103501000) as follows:
(a) Remove the three weight assemblies with the weights N2 as follows:
1 Unscrew the nuts (3) and remove them.

2 Remove the pins (6) and the weights N2 (5).
_
(b) Remove the weight assy with the weights N1 as follows: 1 Unscrew the nut (8) and remove it.
_
2 Remove the pin (9), the weights N1 (10) and the pin (11).
_
(c) Remove the base plate with the weight fitting from the door as follows:
1 Remove the pins (4).
_ 2 Lift the base plate (2) with the weight fitting (1) and remove
_
it from the door.
NOTE : Two persons are necessary for this step, one on each
____ side of the base plate (2). The base plate (2) with the weight fitting (1) weighs 23 kg (50.705 lb).
