R A. Removal of the Ballast Weight
R (Ref. Fig. 205/TASK 52-10-00-991-049)
R (1) Remove the BALLAST WEIGHT - PASSENGER CREW DOOR (98D52103501000) as
R follows:
R (a) Remove the weight assy with the weight N2 as follows:
R 1_ Unscrew the nut (3) and remove it.
R 2_ Remove the pin (6) and the weight N2 (5).
R (b) Remove the base plate with the weight fitting from the door as
R follows:
R 1_ Remove the pins (4).
R 2_ Lift the base plate (2) with the weight fitting (1) and remove
R it from the door.
R NOTE : Two persons are necessary for this step, one on each____
R side of the base plate (2). The base plate (2) with the
R weight fitting (1) weighs 23 kg (50.705 lb).
