 3. Job Set-up

 Subtask 36-11-44-860-050
 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 (2)
 Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

 (3)
 On the AIR COND panel 30VU:


 -Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released
 (the OFF legend is on). R - Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON R legend is off).
 -Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system is in position.
 (4)
 On the ENG panel 115VU:

 -Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2) is in position.

 (5)
 On the HP ground connector:

 -Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system is in position.

 (6)
 On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:

 -
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

 -
Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2) is in position.

 Make sure that the access platform is in position below the engine.

 4. Procedure_________

 Subtask 36-11-44-420-050 
R  A. Installation of the Inlet of the Bleed-Air Precooler Exchanger
 (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends. 
R R  (2) Put the inlet (9) of the bleed-air precooler exchanger (2) in position on the spar (6). 
R  (3) Install the clamp (8) and TORQUE it to between 50 and 70 lbf.in (0.56 and 0.79 m.daN). 
R  (4) Install the plates (10) and (7). 
R  (5) Install and tighten the eleven screws (11). 
R  (6) Install the washers (5) and the screws (4). 
R  (7) Tighten the screws (4). 
R R  (8) Install the new seal (3) and seal (16) on the bleed-air precooler exchanger (2).
 (9) Install the bleed-air precooler exchanger (2) on the inlet (11) with its new seal (3) with the handles (14) and (15).
 (10) Install the clamps (1) and (13) and tighten them.

 B. Do this Test
 (1)
 Remove the warning notice from the HP ground connector.

 (2)
 Connect an air supply source to the HP ground connector.

 (3)
 On the panel 30VU, set the X-BLEED selector to OPEN.

 (4)
 Supply a stable pressure of 30 psi (2.07 bar) to the HP ground connector.

 (5)
 Make sure that there are no leaks at the junctions upstream and downstream of the precooler exchanger on the related engine.
