_________
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 36-11-49-991-300)
Subtask 36-11-49-420-050
A. Installation of the Pylon Interface Duct
(1)
Remove the blanking plugs from the pylon interface duct, the pylon duct (15), and the bleed pressure regulator valve (20).
(2)
Loosely install the pylon interface duct (15) between the pylon duct and the bleed pressure regulator valve (20).
(3)
Attach the interface duct (15) to the pylon duct with the coupling (5).
(4) Attach the pylon interface duct (15) to the bleed pressure regulator R valve (20) with a serviceable E-seal (10) and the coupling (25).
(5) Tighten the nuts of the couplings: CAUTION : MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS
_______ RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
(a) Tighten the nuts of the couplings (5) and (25) sufficiently to hold the duct in position. Do not torque the coupling nuts at this time.
(6)
Make sure that the pylon interface duct (15) is in the correct position.
(7)
TORQUE the coupling nuts, as follows:
(a)
TORQUE the coupling nut to the value shown on the coupling.
(b)
Tap the perimeter of the coupling with a fiber hammer, then torque the coupling nut again.
(c)
Do the torque procedure two times, then torque the coupling nut again.
Subtask 36-11-49-720-055
B. Do this Test
(1)
Remove the warning notice from the HP ground connector.
(2)
Connect an air supply source 30 psi (2.07 bar) to the HP ground connector.
(3)
0n the panel 30VU, put the X-BLEED selector switch in the OPEN position.
(4)
Apply a stable pressure of 30 psi (2.07 bar) to the HP ground connector.
(5)
Make sure that there are no leaks at the junctions of the installed duct.
(6)
Disconnect the air supply source from the HP ground connector.
5. Close-up
________ Subtask 36-11-49-865-052
