On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
-
Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
-
Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
-
Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system is in position.

On the ENG panel 115VU:
-Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2) is in position.
(5)
On the HP ground connector:
-Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system is in position.
(6)
On the ENG section of the panel 50VU:
-
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
-
Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2) is in position.

Make sure that the access platform is in position below the engine.

A. Installation of the Thermostat-Filter of the Fan Air Valve-Control (Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 36-11-43-991-003)
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plug from the opening of the thermostat (3).
(4) Install a new seal (2).
R (5) Application of lubricant.
R R R R CAUTION : BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO PUT TOO MUCH LUBRICANT ON THE_______ FITTING. TOO MUCH LUBRICANT CAN CAUSE POLLUTION IN THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM AND CAN CAUSE AN ODOR TO OCCUR IN THE CABIN.
R R (a) Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-034) to the threads of the filter (4).
R (6) Install the filter (4) or a new filter (4).
R (7) TORQUE the filter (4) to between 1.8 and 2 m.daN (13.27 and 14.74 lbf.ft).
R (8) Safety the filter (4) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009).
