A. Deactivation of the HP Bleed Valve CAUTION : CAREFULLY ALIGN THE LOCKING PIN WITH THE DEACTIVATING HOUSING
_______ ON THE VALVE. IF YOU ALIGN IT INCORRECTLY OR IF YOU TIGHTEN IT TOO MUCH, THE LOCKING PIN CAN REMAIN IN POSITION AND YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LOCKING PIN THREAD.
(1) On the HP bleed valve (4000HA):
(a)
Use a hexagonal wrench. to set the manual override control to the CLOSED position
(b)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the locking pin (1).
(c)
Lock this override control(the pressure of the valve is released when you remove the locking pin from its storage port).
1 TORQUE the locking pin (1) to between 0.8 and 0.9 m.daN (70.79
_ and 79.64 lbf.in) if the locking pin head is hexagonal.
2 Manually tighten the locking pin (1) if the locking pin is a

knurled knob.
