 A. Installation of the Upper High Pressure (HP) Duct
 (1)
Remove the blanking plugs from the upper HP duct (35), the engine ports, and the HP tee duct.

 (2)
Apply a layer of anti-seize compound (Material No. CP2101) to the bolts (10).

 (3)
Loosely install the upper HP duct (35) with a serviceable E-seal (5) and the bolts (10).

 (4)
Tighten the bolts (10) sufficiently to hold the upper duct (35) in position. Do not torque the bolts at this time.

 (5)
Attach the upper HP duct (35) to the HP tee duct with a serviceable E-seal (40) and the coupling (45). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.

 (6)
Attach the upper HP duct (35) to the engine port with a serviceable E-seal (50) and the coupling (55). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.

 (7)
If removed, install the bushings (30) into the support flange of the upper HP duct (35).

 (8)
If required, adjust the support link so it does not put a load on the upper HP duct (35).

 (9)
TORQUE the nut on the support link to between 54 and 60 lbf.in (0.61 and 0.67 m.daN). Safety the nut with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia (Material No. CP8001) or lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia (Material No. CP8002).

 (10)
Connect the upper HP duct (35) to the support link with the bolt (15), the washer (20) and the nut (25). Make sure that the washer is installed with the countersink against the bolthead.

 (11)
Make sure that the upper HP duct (35) is in the correct position.

 (12)
TORQUE the bolts (10) to between 45 and 60 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.67 m.daN). Safety the bolts with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia (Material No. CP8001) or lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia (Material No. CP8002).

 (13)
TORQUE the coupling nuts as follows:

CAUTION : MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS
_______ RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
 (a)
TORQUE the coupling nut to the value shown on the coupling.

 (b)
Tap the perimeter of the coupling with a fiber hammer, then torque the coupling nut again.

 (c)
Do the torque procedure two times, then torque the coupling nut again.

 (14) Remove the protective covers from the boss in the upper HP duct (35) and from the hose.

 B. Preparation for the leak test
 (1) There are two possible procedures to find the location of a pneumatic joint air leak.
NOTE : Apply dry developer only on the connections of the removed____ pneumatic components.Do not apply dry developer on all the pneumatic components.
You can apply developer, dry (Material No. CP3010) around the pneumatic joints or you can install FOIL-ALUMINUM (Local Purchase) around the pneumatic joint locations. Do the steps that follow to apply foil, aluminum to the pneumatic joint locations.
 (a) Wind the foil wrap around the joint one time.
 (b) Twist the seam of the foil wrap tight.
 (c) Make the foil wrap as tight as possible on the tube, but do not rip the wrap.
 (d) Attach the foil wrap with safetywire 0,024in. (0,6mm) (Material No. CP8004) on the two sides of the pneumatic joint.
