On pilots overhead panel P5, momentarily hold MACH A/S WARNING test switch at TEST or NORM.

 (9)  
Observe that as long as test switch is held at TEST or NORM, a clacking sound (interrupted at approximately 7-Hz) is heard from flight engineer's station.

 (10)
 On airplanes with supplementary fuel tanks, momentarily hold MACH A/S WARNING test switch on overhead panel to RES (AUX) FUEL. Observe that a clacking sound is heard for as long as the test switch is held at RES (AUX) FUEL.

 (11)
 Set mach airspeed-gear down airspeed selector switch to GEAR DOWN DISPATCH position and repeat steps (8) and (9).

 (12)
 Return selector switch to NORMAL VMO position.

 (13)
 Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).


 4.  System Test - Mach Airspeed Warning System

 A.  Test Mach Airspeed Warning System
 (1)  
Perform mach airspeed warning operational test. Do not remove electrical power.

 (2)  
Test Mach Airspeed Warning Switch Operation


 (a)  Verify that MACH AIRSPEED-GEAR DOWN DISPATCH selector switch is set at NORMAL position.

 (b)  
On airplanes with supplementary fuel tanks, verify that tanks are empty (Ref 12-11-01).

 (c)  
Pressurize auxiliary pitot-static system No. 2 (Ref 34-11-00).


 CAUTION: TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO INSTRUMENTS AND/OR EQUIPMENT,
_______ OBSERVE ALL CAUTIONS IN PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM -MAINTENANCE PRACTICES.
 (d)  On airplanes without spare engine kit installed, apply pressure for each test point listed in following table, and check that warning clacker comes on.
