In main equipment center remove all drain assemblies (Fig. 301, sheet 3).
(d)
In forward cargo area just aft of the forward cargo door on the right-hand side of airplane, remove all drain assemblies. A drain access door is installed for easy removal of drains (Fig. 301, sheet 4).
(e)
On Freighters, in main cargo area (section 44) remove all drain assemblies (Fig. 301, sheet 4). Drains are located at STA 1394, WL 320, RBL 90.
(f)
In aft cargo area remove all drain assemblies. A drain access door is installed for easy removal of drains (Fig 301, sheet 4).
(9) Remove three pitot-static hoses from each pitot-static probes. This may be done from inside airplanes in left and right crawlways.
CAUTION: PITOT-STATIC PROBES ARE DELICATE INSTRUMENTS AND
_______ CRITICALLY ALIGNED ON AIRPLANE. EXTREME CARE MUST BE EXERCISED WHEN INSTALLING, REMOVING OR HANDLING. DO NOTHING THAT PLACES ADDED WEIGHT ON PROBE.
(10) On airplanes with red colored 69B41424-1 orifice unions installed between each pitot-static probe S2 flexible hose and airplane hard tubing, remove and replace with MS21902D6 unions.
XA (a) On AF 101-114; AZ 201, 202, 209-211; SN 301, 302; IB 405, XA disconnect lavatory and galley exhaust differential pressure XA switch, in right crawlway.
5. Flush Pitot-Static System
_________________________
A. Flush pitot and static lines with dry filtered air from location noted below to outlets indicated for a minimum of 2 minutes by removing outlet caps one at a time. Check that air is coming out of each outlet being flushed to verify that there are no lines cross connected. Replace cap after flushing prior to proceeding to next outlet.
NOTE: Air pressure is not to exceed 30 psi when flushing pitot-static
____ lines/hoses and must be reduced to 5-10 psi when flushing through the static source selector valves.
NOTE:____Procedure must be in order indicated. Two minutes is the minimum flushing time regardless of the length of pitot-static tubing being flushed. Flushing time may be increased if deemed necessary by the operator.
(1) Flush captain's pitot system from capped "T" located behind instrument panel on outboard side to:
(a)
Pitot hose disconnected from airspeed indicator.
(b)
Pitot hose disconnected from upper left pitot-static probe.
(c)
Pitot line disconnected from drain fitting 3 (Fig. 301, sheet 1).
