 6.  Total Air Temperature/Engine Pressure Ratio Limit System (34-15-00) IB
________________________________________________________
 AIRPLANES WITHOUT PMS Lear Siegler

 A.  The TAT/EPRL system supplies the pilots with a direct readout of; 1) maximum thrust allowable (EPRL) for different atmospheric conditions and modes of engine operation and 2) total air temperature.
 7.  Altitude Alert System (34-16-00) Unit Control 965-0184-001
_____________________
 A.  The altitude alert system provides the pilots with a visual and aural indication of the airplane proximity to a preselected altitude.
 8.  Magnetic Heading Reference System (34-21-00)
_________________________________
 A.  The magnetic heading reference system (MHRS) provides gyro stabilized magnetic heading information to the airplane flight instruments and other interfacing navigation systems.
 9.  Standby Attitude Reference System (34-24-00) SFENA 705-7V9
_________________________________
 A.  The standby attitude reference system is a self-contained gyroscopic reference system which displays basic airplane roll and pitch attitude to the pilots.
 10. Flight Director Command Switching (34-26-00)

 A.  The flight director command switching connects roll and pitch attitude commands from selected autopilot/flight director roll and pitch computers to flight director command bars on the attitude director indicators (ADI) The command bars deflect in response to heading and course deviation. signals which indicate to the pilot the aircraft attitude changes necessary to fly the correct heading or course.
 11. VOR/ILS Navigation System (34-31-00) Bendix RNA-34A

 Collins 51RV-2B
 Collins 51RV-4B

 A.  The VOR/ILS navigation system determines airplane position with respect to ground-based VHF omnidirectional range (VOR) stations and instrument landing systems (ILS) and provides this information to displays on the pilots' flight instruments and to the autopilot/flight director system. The VOR portion of the system determines the bearing of the VOR ground station with respect to the aircraft. The ILS portion of the system determines lateral (localizer) deviation and vertical (glide slope) deviation of the aircraft relative to the airport runway.
 12. Marker Beacon System (34-32-00) Collins 517-4
____________________
 A.  The marker beacon system provides the pilots with a visual and aural indication when the aircraft is directly over airways fan markers, station location Z markers, and ILS middle and outer markers.
 13. Low Range Radio Altimeter System (34-33-00) Collins 860F-4 (IB)

 Bendix ALA-51A (SN)
 TRT ERT-530A (SN)

 A.  The low range radio altimeter (LRRA) supplies vertical position information to a remote height indicator and (below 200 feet) an ADI during approach and landing phases of flight operation. The system transmits a continuous signal of varying frequency to the ground which is reflected back to the aircraft and mixed with a portion of the transmitting signal. The resultant beat frequency signal is proportional to aircraft altitude and is displayed in analog form on the height indicator.
 14. Inertial Navigation System (34-41-00) Delco Carousel IV

 Litton LTN-72

 A.  The inertial navigation system (INS) automatically determines the attitude and navigation data necessary to keep the airplane on a predetermined course. This is accomplished without external navigational aids through the use of a gyroscopically stabilized inertial platform controlled by a digital computer. The pertinent navigation data is displayed on flight instruments, allowing the pilots to fly the airplane to the INS reference. The data is also supplied to the autopilot when operating in the INS mode for automatic control of airplane heading.
 B.  On airplanes with performance management system (PMS) installed, the PMS provides waypoint control over the inertial navigation system so that waypoint data (for horizontal navigation) can be entered at the PMS CDU instead of at the INS CDU. The PMS receives distance data from the DME systems, which is used to update the displayed present position in both the PMS and INS.
 15. Weather Radar System (34-43-00) Bendix RDR-1F

 A.  The weather radar system presents the pilots with a visual radarscope display of weather conditions ahead of the aircraft. This presentation in terms of range and azimuth enables course changes to be made to avoid turbulent areas. A mapping mode is also included for radarscope presentation of terrain features.
