4) Seal these locations with vinyl adhesive tape:
WARNING: WHEN THE STATIC PORTS ARE COVERED, MAKE SURE THAT
_______ CONDITION IS VISIBLE FROM THE GROUND. FAILURE TO OBSERVE AND REMOVE COVERINGS OVER STATIC PORTS BEFORE FLIGHT MAY CAUSE LARGE ERRORS IN AIRSPEED-SENSING AND ALTITUDE-SENSING SIGNALS, WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF SAFE FLIGHT.
CAUTION: DO NOT EXTEND THE SEALS INTO THE STATIC PORTS.
_______ YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE IN THE AREA WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SEALS.
a) The aft static ports (S2) on the upper left pitot-static probe b) The forward set of static ports on the lower left pitot-static probe. 5) Verify that T.E. FLAP LOAD RELIEF circuit breaker on P12 panel is opened.
WARNING: FAILURE TO OPEN T.E. FLAP LOAD RELIEF CIRCUIT
_______ BREAKER MAY RESULT IN INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
6) Repeat steps (b) 3) thru 7).
7) Release vacuum on both static and pitot systems.
(5) Elevator Feel Light Test
NOTE: The following test must be performed to ensure that
____ auxiliary pitot systems No. 1 and 2, which were disconnected prior to system leakage test, are properly reconnected.
(a)
Reconnect pitot lines to elevator feel computers and stabilizer control modules.
(b)
Provide systems No. 2 and 3 hydraulic power (Ref 29-11-00).
(c)
Check that No. 2 and 3 elevator/rudder HYD POWER switches are ON.
(d)
Check that PILOT IND LTS circuit breaker on panel P12 is closed.
(e)
Check that ELEV FEEL caution light on center instrument panel is off.
(f)
Open cutoff valve. Use pneumatic test unit and pitot control valve to apply a pressure of 4.53 (| 0.16) inches of mercury (gage) or 300 (| 5) knots to auxiliary pitot system No. 1 as indicated on pitot system test gage.
(g)
When system has stabilized, close pitot cutoff valve. Read and record value indicated by pitot system test gage.
(h)
Check that ELEV FEEL caution light comes on.
(i)
After 1 minute, read and record value indicated on pitot system test gage. Pressure must not have decreased by more than 0.16 inch of mercury or 5 knots.

(j)
Relieve auxiliary pitot system No. 1. Check that ELEV FEEL caution light goes off.
(k)
Open cutoff valve. Use pneumatic test unit and pitot control valve to apply a pressure of 4.53 (| 0.16) inches of mercury (gage) or 300 (| 5) knots to auxiliary pitot system No. 2 as indicated on pitot system test gage.
(l)
When system has stabilized, close pitot cutoff valve. Read and record value being indicated by pitot system test gage.
(m)
Check that ELEV FEEL caution light comes on.
(n)
After 1 minute, read and record value indicated on pitot system test gage. Pressure must not have decreased by more than 0.16 inches of mercury or 5 knots.
(o)
Relieve auxiliary pitot system No. 2. Check that ELEV FEEL caution light goes off.
(p)
Remove hydraulic power (Ref 29-11-00).
(6) Static System Cross-Manifolding Test
NOTE: This test does not check system or instrument accuracy, but
____ checks static tubing cross-manifolding continuity only.
