panel. Check that mode selected is displayed by the indicator and
TAT indication should not be affected by switching from any one
 mode to another.
 (9)  Simulate a .211 mach input per applicable section of the central
 air data computer adjustment/test, 34-12-00.

 (10) Select TOD mode on mode selector panel.  Apply heat to left TAT probe to verify that TAT indication increases to 59.C or more. Check that N1 limit readout decreases as TAT readout increases over the range +45.C through +55.C. At 59 -0.+4.C, the yellow warning flags should obscure the TAT and N1 limit readouts. Remove heat and verify that TAT flag disappears from view at or before a temperature of 59.C is reached and that N1 limit flag disappears from view at or above a TAT indication of 52.C.
NOTE: Set LEFT probe heater switch to OFF when yellow warning flags
____ appear or at a TAT readout of +63.C maximum.
 (11)
 Remove mach input.

 (12)
Lower nacelle anti-ice module from overhead panel P5.

 (13)
Select CON flight mode on mode selector panel and observe N1 limit counter readouts on TAT/N1 limit indicator.

 (14)
Apply a jumper cable between terminal 2 of No. 1 nacelle anti-ice valve open light and aircraft ground. Observe that N1 limit reading on TAT/N1 indicator decreases by an appreciable amount.

 0.40 |0.05 percent RPM.

 (15)
Place wing anti-ice switch on pilots' overhead panel to ON.  N1 limit reduction should be approximately double of previous test.

 (16)
Set wing anti-ice switch to OFF and remove jumper cable from No. 1 nacelle anti-ice valve open light. Observe that N1 limit counter readout returns to original value.

 (17)
Remove jumper cable, place wing anti-ice switch to OFF and install nacelle anti-ice module.

 (18)
Shutdown air supply to aspirated temperature probe.

 (19)
Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).

TOTAL AIR TEMPERATURE/ENGINE PRESSURE RATIO LIMIT -
___________________________________________________ ADJUSTMENT/TEST
_______________
 1.  General
_______
 A.  The test for the total air temperature/engine pressure ratio limit (TAT/EPRL) system is composed of two parts; an operational test for a quick check of the system and a system test for a more complete check.
 2.  Operational Test - TAT/EPRL System
__________________________________
 A.  Referenced Procedures
 (1) 24-22-00, Manual Control - Maintenance Practices (Apply Power)
 B.  Test TAT/EPRL System Operation
 (1)
Apply airplane power (Ref 24-22-00).

 (2)
Close TAT/EPRL - IND, TAT/EPRL - COMP, CADC 1 - PWR, and CADC 1 -SYNC EXCIT circuit breakers on panel P7.

NOTE: The full flight regime autothrottle system circuit breakers
____ are to be pulled while performing this test.
 (3)
Close ENG 1, 2, 3, 4 - EPR and OIL QTY circuit breakers on panel P6 and ensure AUTO COMMAND knobs on EPR indicators are in depressed condition.

 (4)
Select TOD mode on mode selector panel. Check that mode is displayed on indicator.

 (5)
Press TEST LAMPS switch on computer. All three lights should come on. Release switch; lights should go out.

 (6)
Pull TAT/EPRL-COMP circuit breaker on panel P7. Failure flags on TAT/EPRL limit indicator and command EPR indicators should appear. The EPR displays should not be affected by the appearance of the failure flags. Reset circuit breaker and failure flags should retract.

 (7)
Pull TAT/EPRL-IND circuit breaker. Failure flag on TAT/EPRL indicator should appear. The command EPRL flags on the EPR indicators will appear. Reset circuit breaker and failure flags should retract.

 (8)
Pull each EPR and OIL QTY circuit breakers on panel P6 in turn and check that EPR and command EPRL failure flags on EPR indicator appear in view. The command EPR counter readout should be within | .01 of the readout displayed by the TAT/EPR limit indicator. Reset circuit breakers and failure flags should retract.

 (9)
Pull CADC No. 1 115V AC circuit breaker. Failure flag on TAT/EPR limit indicator should appear. Reset circuit breaker and failure flag should retract.
